DIY Halloween Wreath Step by Step Instructions

  • Place your 18" Grapevine wreath on newspaper or foam core (as used above) in a well ventilated area and paint the wreath with the black spray paint.
  •  Hold the spray paint about 18" from the wreath and use sweeping motions to paint it from all angles.
  • Allow the wreath to dry and then flip it over and paint the back.
  • When your black paint is dry layer purple glitter spray paint over the black.
  • Hold the spray paint about 18" from the wreath and use sweeping motions to paint it from all angles.
  • Allow the wreath to dry and then flip it over and paint the back.
  • Connect the black glitter garland at one end with black floral wire.
  • Wrap the garland around the entire wreath evenly and attach the end with black floral wire. 
  • Cut roses below leaves with wire cutters,
  • Insert roses into spaces of the grapevine wreath.
  • Distribute the roses evenly around the entire wreath.
  • Cut roughly 4 feet of the double faced satin ribbon off the roll.
  • Cut each end at a diagonal.
  • Wrap the ribbon around the wreath and tie in a loose knot with the tails hanging unevenly.
  • Pull one piece of ribbon behind the wreath and allow the other end to hang in front.
